A Few Words With Mano Le Tough

Jon Averill had a short sharp chinwag with Greystones proudest son, Mano Le Tough ahead of his visit to Fidelity Studio where he’ll be playing an all night long set.

Here’s what went down…

Why Should People Get Down For 9pm tonight?

You wouldn’t read a book by skipping the first 20 pages.
I think the start is one of the most important and interesting bits of an all-nighter!

WHAT’S THE Longest Set You’ve Ever Played?

I think around 11 or 12 hours - Panorama Bar closing.
Weirdest thing was when I finished I remembered records I forgot to play!

do you have a Favourite Producer At The Moment?

My favorite producer at the moment is Priori — what he is doing is super inspiring.
He nails the frequencies, has a super sound, and great musicality in his compositions.

Do You Have A Track You’re Most Proud Of?

I'm still proud of some of my early stuff and how it’s stood up over time.
It can be hard to maintain creativity and inspiration so I'm always happy when the muse returns for a visit. I started a new label, Passion Beat at the end of last year and the first release has been doing really well so I'm also quite proud of that!

Finally, Tell Us About That Lovely Black & Green Jumper?

I got in TK Maxx and everyone always comments on how nice it is.
My big fancy expensive
ganzees that I buy in Milan or Paris or whatever generally go unremarked upon.
